Qualifying Criteria for Rank Allotment
A candidate will be disqualified if they score zero or negative marks either in Mathematics or in total marks. The rank will be allotted to the students on the basis of marks obtained by a qualified candidate in the examination. The rank will be allotted on the basis of following criteria:
The marks obtained in Mathematics, Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness, English will be summed up. Thus, maximum weighted marks will be 1000. Rank obtained by the candidates will be based on total weighted marks.

The cut off is the minimum scores required to qualify for the next stage of the admission procedure. The authority will publish the NIMCET cut off after the declaration of result. It will be made available through online mode.

NIMCET Tie Breaking Criteria 2024
In case of a tie, the following tie- breaking criteria will be followed:
- Candidates scoring higher marks in Mathematics will be given priority in the merit list in case of tie.
- If the tie still exists, the marks scored by candidates in Analytical Ability and Logical reasoning will be considered to determine the rank.
- If the tie still exists, the marks scored by candidates in Computer Awareness will be considered to determine the rank.
- If the tie still exists, candidates older in age will be given preference in the merit list.
- If the tie still has not been resolved, random sampling by computer will be considered for consideration of merit.
NIMCET 2024 Counselling
The counselling of NIMCET 2024 is held on 29th June 2024. It is organized through online mode. Students who have qualified the entrance examination are able to participate in the NIMCET counselling procedure on the basis of rank. Candidates need to fill choices of the institution during the counselling process.
