State Exam

The admission into various engineering colleges/ universities will be done through JEE Main 2016 exam or Mizoram University Engineering Entrance Examination (MZUEEE). There are also some other private universities which organize their own entrance exam. The JEE Main 2016 application form has been released in the month of December 2015.

B.Tech Admission 2016

Those candidates who are interested to take admission in B.Tech courses of various engineering colleges/universities have to clear the JEE Main 2016 exam or MZUEEE. Candidates can get the JEE Main 2016 application form through the official website. Candidates don’t forget to read out the eligibility criteria and confirm themselves that they are eligible for the courses which they are applying for. Here is the eligibility criteria are given for the admission in B.Tech courses.

• Interested candidate must have passed their 12^th or equivalent exam from a recognized board with an aggregate of 45% of marks (for general category students) and 40 % of marks (for reserved category students.
• Candidate must have passed JEE Main 2016 exam or MZUEEE with good marks.
• In 12^th or equivalent exam candidate must have Physics and Mathematics as a compulsory subjects with one of the optional subject Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science and Biology.

Documents Required

Candidates are required some documents for the admission in B.Tech Courses, which are mentioned below:

• 10^th and SSE or equivalent exam mark sheet
• Domicile certificate
• Transfer certificate
• Caste certificate (if applicable)
• JEE Main 2016 exam or MZUEEE score card & admit card
• Allotment letter

Selection Process

For admission in B.Tech Courses candidates have to pass their 12^th or equivalent exam and JEE Main 2016 or MZUEEE. After clearing the exam candidate have to go through the counselling process. In counselling process candidates have to pay the counselling fee and choose the colleges/universities where the candidate is seeking for admission. After that the allotment of seats will be done as per the marks obtained by the candidates in the JEE Main 2016 or MZUEEE and 12^th or equivalent exam. After the allotment of seats candidate have to go to the allotted college/university for course fee payment and document verification.
