Admission Procedure
The admission in medical colleges of Punjab will be done on the basis of national level entrance examination known as NEET.
It will be conducted by the NTA (National Testing Agency). NEET-UG 2024 will be conducted for admission to MBBS programme and NEET PG 2024 for admission in MD/MS programmes.
AIIMS and JIPMER are replaced by NEET exam, candidates have to apply for NEET 2024 exam.
Entrance Exams
There is no national level entrance exam which is conducted for admission in medical courses in any state medical colleges. Authority will use NEET score for filling the vacant seats in MBBS and BDS programs in Punjab medical/Dental colleges.
NEET is an entrance exams through which candidates can get admission in any college exist in the state or all over the India.
Candidates should appear in this exam to get admission in top colleges of Punjab. On qualifying the entrance exam candidates will get admission in MBBS/ BDS courses.

Punjab MBBS/BDS Admission 2024
The given below eligibility criteria is to appear in the NEET entrance examination. The candidates those will meet theses eligibilities will be only consider for the allotment of seats.
- Candidate must be the citizen of Indian. OCI candidates are also eligible to apply.
- The lower age of the candidate to apply is 17 years as on 31st December 2024.
- There is no upper age limit prescribed.
- Candidates should pass the 12th class with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subject from any recognized board.
- In the qualifying exam, the candidate should have obtained 50% minimum marks (40% for reserved category candidates).
- Candidates those are in intermediate can also apply.
Selection Procedure
Candidates can participate in the counselling after appearing in the NEET exam. Candidates will be invited for counselling process as per their performance in the entrance exam after the announcement of the written result.
In the counselling procedure, candidates will have to choose the colleges as per their preference where they are looking for admission.
The seats will be allotted to the candidates according to the candidate rank, filled choices and availability of the seats.
After seat allotment process, candidates will have to report at the allotted college/institution to complete admission process.

Candidates will need to bring these original certificates along with one set of Xerox copy for participating in the counselling.
