Pune MBBS/ BDS 2024 Merit List has been released via online mode. Pune is the sprawling city in the western Indian state of Maharashtra. Pune is the second largest metropolis in the state. Admission Procedure

Candidates those wishing to get admission in the medical colleges of Pune can appear in the national level exam. Almost every medical college considered the NEET (National eligibility Cum Entrance Test) score card for offering medical courses in their campuses.

The final admission to the candidates will be offered on the basis of rank secured by the candidates in the entrance test.

For admission into PG medical courses like MD/ MS (6 years), INI CET entrance exam is conducted. Candidates qualifying this entrance test will get admission into AIIMS, JIPMER, PGIMER, etc. institutions.

Entrance Exams

NEET is the national level entrance exam administered by the NTA. NEET is conducted every year in the month of May. Through NEET entrance exam, candidates can get admission into MBBS/ BDS programme of private & government colleges all over in India.

Admission into JIPMER and AIIMS campuses are also done through NEET Scores. Admission into various PG medical courses is offered through NEET PG.

Before filling the online application form candidate must ensure that he/ she is eligible to appear in the test. If any candidate find to be ineligible in later stage, their admission will be rejected. Below candidates can check the basic eligibility criteria to appear in the examination.

• Candidate should belong to Indian national.
• Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) is also eligible to apply.
• The lower age limit to apply is 17 years as on 31st December in the year of admission.
• Applying candidate should pass the 12th or its equivalent examination from any recognized board.
• Appearing candidates are also eligible to apply.
• The qualifying examination should be passed with minimum of 50% marks (40% for reserve category candidates) in PCB and English subjects.

Selection Procedure

Candidates have to qualify the NEET exam to get admission in medical and dental courses. The centralized counselling is conducted for various medical/dental colleges situated in Pune.

On the basis of merit, candidates are allowed to participate in the counselling. To get admission into MBBS/BDS courses, candidates have to register for counselling and submit the fee.

NEET Counselling has been conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) & Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) through online mode for 15% all India seats. For 85% quota seats, the state authority conduct the counselling in the state.
