Admission Procedure
Admission in MBBS & BDS courses in the Kerala state is conducted by Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala. The admission procedure is done through a centralize counseling. Counseling is organised by KEAM & MCC. There are 85% MBBS/BDS state quota seats in government & 100% MBBS/BDS seats in self-financing/private medical and dental colleges in Kerala.
Entrance Exams
NEET UG 2024 is the national level medical entrance exam of the country. NEET exam is conducted in the month of May. NTA (National Testing Agency) organizes this exam on national level. There is not any state level exam conducted in Kerala for providing admission in MBBS/BDS courses.

Kerala MBBS/BDS Admission 2024
Eligibility Criteria:
- Nativity: Only candidates of Kerala origin or candidates who have studied in Kerala are eligible for MBBS/BDS admission. These rule are not be apply to candidate seeking admission under 15% AIQ seats.
- Education Qualification: Candidates must have passed 12th standard in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology with at least 50% in aggregate (40% for SC/ST category and 45% for SEBC). Candidates have to also score at least 50% in Biology/Biotechnology in 12th.
- Age: Candidate should be at least 17 years of age on the admission year.
- NEET Qualification: In order to be eligible for admission candidates have to qualify the NEET exam by scoring NEET 2024 cutoff. Candidates are required to obtain 50th percentile (40th percentile for SC/ST and 45th percentile for general PH) to qualify NEET 2024.
Selection Process
Candidates wishing of getting admission in MBBS/BDS seats under 85% state quota have to fill the Kerala 2024 application form through KEAM portal. After filling Kerala MBBS application form 2024 candidates have to send the printout of duly filled Kerala MBBS 2024 application along with the supporting documents to CEE office. Candidates included in the allotment has been released through online mode & are eligible to participate in Kerala MBBS counselling 2024. The counselling procedure for Kerala MBBS/BDS is started by KEAM.
Counseling is conducted through online mode only. Seat allotment is based on NEET UG score & preference filled during counselling procedure. After seat is allotted candidates have to report at the allotted institute for seat confirmation & document verification.
