Admission Procedure
MBBS aspirants are required to appear the entrance test namely NEET-UG. Admission in the medical colleges of Bihar will be done through NEET. Candidate’s who have clear the entrance examination with passing marks are eligible for admission. Allotment of seats will be done during the counselling round.

Entrance Exam
National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is the national level entrance examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The board has conducted this entrance test on 7th May 2017.

MBBS Admission 2017
To take admission in medical programme, candidates have to apply for NEET-UG. The application form of NEET-UG 2017 was begin in the 31st January 2017 and the last date to apply was 1st March 2017. Aspirants can check their eligibility for MBBS Admission in Bihar 2017 from here:
- Applicant should have completed the age of 17 years as on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
- The prescribed upper age limit is 25 years (30 years for reserved category candidates).
- Candidates who have passed 10+2 as the qualifying examination with 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST and physically handicapped) will be eligible to apply.
- Qualifying examination should be passed with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English subjects.
- Students should have passed the entrance examination with qualifying marks.
Selection Procedure
The candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of NEET-UG 2017 will be called for counselling. MCC and DGHS will conduct counselling for admission to 15% All India Quota seats while for 85% state quota seats, various colleges/Universities conducts their own counselling. Distribution of seats is on the basis of category, NEET-UG 2017 merit list, availability of seats in the college and the choices filled by the candidates. Candidates are required download the seat allotment letter and report to the allotted college along with all the necessary documents for the further admission process for session 2017.
