Admission Procedure
The admission into medical/dental courses is done on the basis of the national level entrance exam known as NEET. Students have to appear for a NEET exam to get admission into MBBS/BDS courses in Bangalore. The state universities will not conduct any state level entrance exam for medical/dental courses. The admission in medical course all over the country will be based on NEET score.

Entrance Exam
The admission in the medical colleges of Banglore is based on NEET. It is known as National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by CBSE. The board conducts NEET exam in the month of May.

MBBS Admission 2017
Candidates may get NEET 2017 application form from the 31st January 2017. The last date to fill the application is the 1st March 2017. Students have to fulfill the given eligibility criteria in order to appear NEET 2017:
- Students must be Indian Citizen.
- Overseas Citizen of India can also apply.
- Student’s age should be 17 years as on 31st December of the admission year.
- The minimum qualification is 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
- Students have to score at least 50% marks for GEN category, 45% marks for GEN-PH and 40% for SC/ST/OBC/SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH) aggregate in the qualifying examination.
Selection Procedure
Students will get admission into all medical/dental colleges on the basis of NEET score. Student have to appear in the counselling process conducted by the Bangalore colleges separately. It is organized for 85% state quota seats in the colleges. For 15% All India seats, the centralized counselling is conducted. It is regulated by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
