Admission Procedure

Students can apply for admission in law courses through national level/ university level exams or through the merit basis. To get admission in law programmes students can appear for the entrance tests organized by various universities. While some law colleges give admission on the basis of merit list of the qualifying exam.

Entrance Exam

Students can appear in CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) examination for admissions. CLAT is a national level examination regulated by NLUs on rotation basis. This examination is organized for providing admission in UG & PG law courses. Candidates looking for admission in University of Rajasthan may appear for the RULET (Rajasthan University Law Entrance Test) exam. Besides this no exam is exist for online law courses.

Law Admission 2017

The CLAT 2017 application form is available from 1st January 2017. Candidates can fill the application form till 31st March 2017. The authority will conduct the exam on 14th May 2017.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Indian citizen and NRI candidates are eligible to apply.
  • For admission in UG (Integrated) courses, students should have cleared or appearing in HSC or equivalent exam from any recognized board.
  • In HSC examination, students must have obtained at least 45% marks for general category and 40% marks for SC/ST categories.
  • For PG programmes, students should have an LL.B or equivalent degree.
  • There is no upper age limit for appearing in this exam.

Selection Procedure

Students can get admission on the basis of entrance exam or merit list prepared on the basis of qualifying examination. Through counselling procedure, candidates will choose the colleges and courses as per their choices. Students are required to bring the required documents for the document verification process at the time of counselling/admission. After counselling, seats will be allotted to students as per the filled choices and availability of seats. After seat allotment, students are required to report to the college for further process.
