Admission Procedure

Admission into the law UG and PG courses can be done on the basis of CLAT national level entrance exam. Candidates have to appear in the entrance test and get admission in the law courses.

Some of the institutions/universities conducted their own entrance examination for providing admission and some offered on the basis of score card of CLAT exam.

Entrance Exams

The admission in the state of Haryana is provided after appearing in the entrance exam. The candidates qualified in the exam are only be considered for the admissions.

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2025) is the entrance exam to enter in the top law colleges of the state. There are some other entrance exams are also conducted for law courses.

Candidates have to appear in the university level entrance exam, which is organized separately by the various universities for their law courses.

The top law colleges in Haryana which are comprised of government and private law colleges are Amity University, Haryana and Kurukshetra University, Maharshi Dayanand University, Central University of Haryana, SRM University and many others.

Law Admission 2025

The admissions in the law courses is offered only to the candidates those who meets the basic eligibility criteria mentioned below. If any candidate find to be ineligible on later stage of admission, then their candidature can be cancelled at that moment.

  • There is no restriction on upper age limit in CLAT.
  • For admission in law UG courses, candidates must pass the 12th or equivalent examination with 45% marks (40% for SC/ST category candidates).
  • For admission in law PG courses, candidates should have the LL.B or its equivalent degree from a recognised university/ college.
  • Appearing candidates are also eligible to apply.

Selection Procedure

The seats in the law colleges is also provided on the basis of rank obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam and availability of seats in various institutions.

Candidates can be called for the counselling on the basis of merit list prepared by the concerned authority. Some institutes separately conduct the counselling for admitting the candidates to their campuses.

The admission procedure is followed by the Choice filling, courses, seat locking and seat allotment.

After accepting the provisional seat allotment letter, candidates have to report to the allotted institution and get final admission.
