WB Polytechnic 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to apply to WB Polytechnic must fulfill the complete eligibility criteria. No candidate will be allowed for admission without completing the eligibility clauses given below.

If a candidate does not fulfill any of the eligibility clauses, their application form will be cancelled. If a candidate is found to be ineligible at the time of admission then their candidature will be cancelled in that case.

Nationality:

• Candidates must be an Indian citizen.

State Eligibilities:

• Candidates who have a domicile in West Bengal state can apply.
• Those who studied for their 10th examination from WB can also apply.
• Other state candidates are also eligible to apply under outside state candidates.

Qualifying Exam:

• Candidate must qualify or appearing in the SSC (high school/10th) or equivalent exam from any of the recognized boards.

Age Criteria:

Minimum age: The minimum age for applying is 15 years. candidate’s date of birth should not be after 01 July 2009.

Maximum age:  There is no maximum age for applying.

Subjects:

• Mathematics, Physical Science (Science), and English are mandatory subjects in the qualifying examination.
• Candidates should pass these subjects from any recognized board.

Qualifying Marks:

• Candidate must acquire at least pass marks in all three subjects as per their secondary board.

Note: Without rounding up means that any shortfall of marks from the above benchmark will render the candidate ineligible (Example: 34.99% marks will not be considered as 35%).

Appearing Candidates:

• Those who are studying in their 10th class can also apply.
• Candidates, whose results are awaited or yet to be declared are also eligible to apply.

WB Polytechnic 2025 Application Form

Students will be able to get WB Polytechnic application form online from the website. Candidates will be able to fill out and submit the JEXPO 2025 application form from fourth week of February 2025. Last year forms were available to be filled from 23rd February 2024.

Candidates will have till last week of May 2025 to submit the application form via online mode. Last year the last day to apply was 31st May 2024. Once the registration window is closed no application will be entertained by the authority. At the time of registration, candidates will be required to upload some documents such as photographs, signatures, mark sheets, and educational certificates.

Candidates must fill complete application form correctly as there will be no modification facility. Mistakes in the application will lead to form rejection.

Application Fee:

The application fee for online mode application is Rs. 450/- (Rs. 225/- for Kanyashree Enrollees). Application fees can be paid through online mode via credit card/ debit card or net banking. Registration fee once paid will be not refunded.

Candidates should note that as there will be no entrance exam for JEXPO anymore so admit card or answer will not be released. After the registration merit list of the selected candidates will be released and will be moved forward for further process.
