JEECUP is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education (UPBTE), Lucknow. Through this examination, students will be admitted to the diploma courses offered in engineering, non-engineering, and other technical disciplines.

JEECUP 2025 Exam Pattern

JEECUP 2025 will be conducted for various groups (Group A to Group K). There will be only one question paper for each group of JEECUP.

There will be different question papers for different examinations for which the syllabus also differs. Here, we are providing details regarding UP Polytechnic exam pattern 2025:

  • Number of Questions: The question paper will consist of a total of 100 questions. There will be separate questions for each group. It will contain questions as per choice of courses.
  • Question Paper Type: Only objective type questions will be asked in the examination for which four options will be provided and the candidates will be required to choose only one correct answer.
  • Medium of Question Papers: All Examination papers will be printed in two columns, one in Hindi and other in English Medium.
  • Subjects: It varies Group to Group.
  • Language: The question paper will be printed in English as well as in the Hindi Language.
  • Mode of Exam: JEECUP will be conducted via online CBT mode (for all groups).
  • Duration: The total time allotted to solve the question paper will be 150 minutes. 
  • Marking Scheme: For every correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded.
  • Negative Marking: No marks will be deducted for incorrect answers as there will be no negative marking. In case if the candidate chooses more than one response to the same question then, it will be considered as a wrong answer.

JEECUP 2025 Syllabus

JEECUP 2025 Syllabus will be divided in three sections i.e. Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology and Physics. Syllabus will be based on 10th and 12th class. Candidates must check some important topics from the given section.

Here we have mentioned group wise syllabus for the JEECUP 2025 exam:

Group A: Syllabus will be based on class 10th. Students must go through the class 10th books to prepare for Group A. The Questions asked in the exam will be from subjects like Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.

Group B: Students will be asked questions from Physics or Chemistry, Agriculture and Mathematics subjects. The  syllabus of Group B will consist of two sections.

Group C: Syllabus will be divided in three sections. The Question paper will include topics from 10th class syllabus. Questions will be asked from subjects like English and Hindi Comprehension, General Awareness, Reasoning.

Group D: Question paper will consist of four sections i.e. Hindi and English Comprehension, Reasoning and Intelligence, Numerical Ability and General Awareness. Syllabus will be based on 12th class.

Group E: Group E syllabus will include subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology. Candidates will have to prepare syllabus based on 10th and 12th class.

  7. I have done 12 from UP board with subjects English,Hindi,biology, physics and chemistry and no other subject.

    But now not having mathematics in 12th I can’t submit many forms in different areas like army,ssc etc.
    So, I am thinking to add mathematics in my report card and give it’s exam only next year.

    I want to ask you can I do as I explained.

    And also will I be able to submit forms with compulsion of maths with this new report card if possible.

    1. If you want to do diploma in mechanical engineering you should give JEECUP examination and can prepare from your class X Maths and science syllabus.

        me polytechnic kar rahi hu group a se mechanical production se sir me ye puchna chaati hu ki 2016 me civil se kr sakti hu dono trade se koi problem.toh nhi hogi sir plz tell me sir

      2. I think it is not permitted to do the same course with different branches. You can do research about this.

      3. After completing one coarse you can start next branch……

        But you can’t give exam of both in one time…….
