JEE Main 2025 Update: National Testing Agency has released a notification regarding a discrepancy in the image uploaded by the candidate for JEE Main 2025 Session-I.
Candidates who have not uploaded their photographs as per the guidelines must re-upload them.
The NTA has informed these candidates through messages and emails sent to their registered phone numbers and email IDs.
The window to make correction on images on the JEE Main registration form was activated on 16 January 2025 and candidates use this correction facility till 17th January 2025 (11:50 PM). Once the deadline will be meet no requests will be accepted by the authority.
JEE Main Key Instructions for uploading Photographs
NTA has released few instructions and guidelines that candidates have to follow while uploading their photographs in the JEE Main 2025 application form:
- Passport size Photograph should be between 10 kb to 300 kb.
- Candidates photo should be recent clicked and should be in colour with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against white background.
- The name of the photograph should be as ‘Photograph’ and in JPG/JPEG format (clearly legible).
- Spectacles are allowed only if being used regularly.
- Polaroid and Computer-generated photos are not acceptable.

JEE Main 2025 Steps to Uploading Photograph
Follow the steps given to add the correct photograph to the JEE Main registration form:
- Go to NTA JEE Main 2025 website.
- On the homepage scroll down.
- Visit the “Candidates Activity Board” section.
- Click on the “Download Confirmation Page for JEE(Main) – 2025 Session-1” link.
- Now select the “Login” option.
- You will be redirect to JEE Main candidate portal.
- Enter the required credentials to access the application form.
- Re-upload the photograph as per the instructions.
- Once done click on the “save & submit” option.
- Save the application form submission page for further use.
Applications of candidates will be rejected if they will not meet the required criteria. The image of candidates should be not blurred, it should not to be hand made/ edited. Candidates are advised to keep at-least 6-8 correct photograph with white background with them.
