JEE Main 2025 Students Miss April Session, Will There Be a Special Exam?

Candidates miss JEE 04th day shift one exam, Police say aspirants were already late.

JEE Update: JEE Main 2025 session 2 examination is ongoing, and nearly 30 aspirants have missed their examination that was scheduled on 07th April 2025, shift 1.

Aspirants missed their Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main in Pendurthi on Monday due to alleged traffic restrictions caused by Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s convoy, according to media reports.

All the candidates have reached the JEE Main 2025 examination center, but the security guard did not allow them to enter the gate and sent all of them back as they were not allowed to enter the exam hall.

The JEE exam is being conducted in two shifts — the morning shift from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and the afternoon shift from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, as per NTA guidelines.

For the first shift, the exam centre reporting time was between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM for entry procedures such as frisking, biometric registration, manual attendance, document verification, and matching of signatures and photographs by the invigilators.

Around 30 candidates reached the gate after the allotted time. Although they explained the reason for their delay to the exam centre authorities, but were not allowed to enter and appear for the exam.

Police say candidates were already late; parents and students blame the delayed convoy movement

In response to candidates and parents blaming Pawan Kalyan’s convoy, the city police have said that “Traffic not blocked near exam centre‘ “candidates were required to reach the exam center at 8:30, and the convoy passed the junction at 8:41 am, so the study were already late for the examination.

No traffic was blocked on the BRTS road or service roads near the exam centre, ensuring free movement for the JEE Main aspirants.

Will There Be Another Chance for Students Who Missed JEE Main 2025?

JEE Main 2025 aspirants and parents are requesting the National Testing Agency to conduct a JEE special examination for the candidates who have missed the 07th April 2025 exam. However, till now, the National Testing Agency has not yet said anything regarding this issue.

NTA has scheduled the JEE Main 2025 session 2 exam for paper 1 on 02nd, 3rd, 04th, 07th, and 08th April and paper 2 on 09th April 2025. In two and single shifts.
