JEE Main 2025 Syllabus Changing: The National Testing Agency every year makes changes in the JEE Main examination.
For the upcoming year, the authority has again made a few major changes in the exam pattern and process.
For preparing for any exam it is very important to check and understand the syllabus first. The JEE Main 2025 Syllabus has been officially released on 28th October 2024.
It was released on NTA’s respective website. For session 2025 changes have been made in the JEE Main exam pattern and no reduction or addition in the syllabus has been done by the exam conducting authority.
Is JEE Main 2025 Syllabus Reduced?
NTA has released the official syllabus for JEE Main and there have been no changes. As per the JEE Main 2025 official syllabus, no reduction or addition of subjects or any topics has been done.
However, for the 2024 session, the NTA deleted several subjects and topics from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from the JEE Main syllabus to match it with the NCERT curriculum for Class 11 and Class 12 students. Some of the deleted topics from the JEE Main syllabus and chapter given below are:
Physics: Communication Device Unit, Physics, and Measurement, Properties of Solids And Liquids, Current Electricity, etc.
Chemistry: Surface Chemistry, States of Matter, Alcohol Phenol, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Metals, Hydrogen, Environmental Chemistry, Ether, S-block elements and Polymers chapters, etc.
Mathematics: Mathematical Induction, Square root of a complex number, triangle inequality, Mathematical Reasoning units, etc.

For the session 2025 of JEE Main, optional questions from section B have been removed. Now there will be only 5 questions per subject and candidates will be required to answer all. Previously there were 10 questions candidates have options to answer any 5.
JEE Main 2025 January session examination will be held between 22nd January to 31st January 2025 and candidates are advised to boost their JEE exam preparations as the upcoming session examination is expected to be tougher this time
Candidates should also note that they should do good preparation for JEE Main 2025 as the changes done by NTA are indicating that the examination will be a bit tougher this time.
