Tie Breaking Criteria 2025

The IIITM Kerala applies tie-breaking criteria to calculate rank of candidates, when two or more candidates score equal marks. The tie breaking of IIITM Kerala is applied as follows:

• The candidates with higher rank will be ranked higher.
• The candidates with less proportion of incorrect answers will be ranked higher.
• The candidates with a greater proportion of correct responses will be ranked higher.

IIITM Kerala 2025 Selection Procedure

After the completion of counselling procedure, selection procedure for admission will begin. The selection procedure will be organised by university to offer admission to shortlisted candidates.

For final selection, candidates will have to appear for a written test. The admission to M.Sc programme will be given through ITCAT/ GATE scores and admission to M.Phill will be given through ITRAT/ GATE or NET Scores.
