IIST Rank List 2025: Get Merit List, Rank for UG/ PG, Counselling

IIST 2025 Rank List will be released in the third week of June 2025. The Rank List will be released for PG courses through online mode. Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) is a deemed university which offers various UG & PG courses.

The institute provides education in the field of Engineering, Technology, Space science & applications. IIST will not conduct any entrance test for admission to the above courses. Admission will be based on national level examinations, i.e. JEE Main, JEE Advanced, GATE, JEST, etc.

IIST 2025 Rank List 

Authority will release the IIST admission rank list 2025 through online mode on the website. Candidates will be able to check their rank card through the website of conducting authority. It will be made available only for candidates those have submitted the application form successfully.

Authority will release the rank list for UG and PG courses separately in different dates. Candidates will be able to check the UG rank list in the third week of June 2025. For PG Course, it will be published based on GATE. IIST 2025 rank list will be published according to the category.

IIST 2025 Cut Off will be released in June 2025 for PG. Cut off will be published through online mode. There will be two types of cut off, i.e. eligibility cut off and admission cut off.

IIST Admission procedure 2025 will be organized through offline mode for UG & PG courses. The counselling will be conducted on different dates for all the courses offered. As per the rank of the candidates in the respective exam, they have called for the counselling rounds.

IIST 2025 Merit List

For B.Tech Course, IIST Merit List 2025 will be prepared on the basis of their aggregate marks secured in JEE Advanced 2025. For PG courses, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of GATE scores for interview/ written test.

In the rank list, the details about date/ venues of the counselling will be released through online mode. Candidates should take a print copy of it for further procedure.

IIST Admission Rank list will be generated only for those candidates who register online for admission to IIST, pay the registration fee and satisfy all the eligibility criteria.

After the publication of IIST Admission Rank list, the candidates must have to fill-in their choices of branch of study during October 2025.

How to Check the Merit List

Candidates should follow the given steps to check IIST Rank List 2025:

• Visit the official website. (Link will be provided above)
• Click on the link “Admission Rank List”.
• The result page will be displayed on the computer screen.
• Select your course.
• The merit list will be shown on the screen in a PDF format.
• Keep a printout copy of it for further reference.

Qualifying Marks

Candidates, those wishing to join B.Tech course in IIST must have to appear for JEE Main 2025 exam & then appear for JEE Advanced 2025 exam. Check below, the minimum prescribed category-wise marks in JEE Advanced 2025:

Tie Break Rules

In case of same marks, the following tie-break rules will be applied such as:

• Higher rank will be assigned to the candidate those who have obtained higher marks in Mathematics.
• If this will not break the tie, higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who secured highest marks in Physics.
• If there will be a tie even after this, higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who secured higher rank in JEE(Main)-2025 examination, in the respective category.

IIST Counselling 2025

Candidates will be called for the counselling process on the basis of the category wise rank list. IIST 2025 Counselling will be organized through offline mode. Candidates will be able to download their counselling call letter to appear in the counselling/ interview process. It will be held for UG & PG courses.

During counselling, candidates will have to present their documents in person. Candidate’s documents will be verified by the counselling authority. After document verification, candidates will have to give their choices of the programme as per their preferences in writing.
