HPCET 2024 Counselling Registration has been extended till 15th July 2024 through online mode. Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET) is an entrance examination conducted state level by the Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU).
The board conducts this entrance examination for providing admission into UG & PG programs in variety of field, including Engineering, Management, and Medical. The counselling process is organized for both candidates applying through national level entrance exam or HPCET exam.

Candidates who desire to seek admission to various UG & PG courses are required to apply online by filling the counselling cum admission form. Applicants are advised to apply for HPCET 2024 counselling procedure before the last date and satisfy the eligibility criteria.
Candidates applying for centralized counselling through National level entrance exam have to pay a non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 1600/- for General/EWS/OBC category and Rs.800/- for SC/ST and BPL/IRDP category. No fee is charged from candidates who are applying on the basis of HPCET 2024.

HPCET 2024 Counselling Procedure
Here, candidates can check the detailed Counselling procedure for HPCET 2024:
- Online Registration & Form Filling: In the first steps, applicants are required to register for counselling procedure on the admission portal. To register, applicants have to provide their user login ID and password. After successful registration, candidates have to fill in a counselling- cum admission form by entering personal and communicational details.
- Uploading of Documents: To complete the form, candidates need to upload their passport-size photographs and signature and other relevant documents in a size not less than 30KB and more than 50KB in JPG/ JPEG format.
- Choice Filling: While filling the Counselling-cum-Admission form, candidates have to fill any five choices of branches and institute for the selected courses. Candidates must note that the selection of programmes and institutes must be provided in order of their preferences only.
- Fee Payment: Those candidates who do not have a valid HPCET 2024 scorecard are required to pay a non-refundable counselling fee via online mode such as internet banking/debit card/credit card/UPI etc. Counselling-cum-Admission form processing fee is of Rs.1600/- General/EWS/OBC category and Rs. 800/- for SC/ST and BPL/IRDP candidates.
- Seat Allotment: Candidates who have successfully submitted their counselling form are listed in seat allotment. Based on the seat allotment, candidates are called to report at HPCET counselling venue. Aspirants are allotted seats as per their choices of preferences of institutes & branches, rank obtained and seat availability.
- Confirmation of Admission: Those candidates who are allotted a seat in the centralized counselling procedure are required to report at the allotted venue for document verification and fee payment to confirm their admission.
Documents Required for HPCET 2024 Counselling
Candidate must produce the following documents, in original, along-with photocopies duly attested at the time of admission:
- Passing Certificate of the qualifying examination.
- Marksheet of 10rth/12th/graduation, as required.
- Matriculation/Higher Secondary School Certificates as proof of date of birth.
- National Level Entrance Examination /HPCET-2024 Score Card.
- Character Certificate
- Bonafide /domicile Certificate.
- Reserved Category Certificate
- Physically Challenged Certificate
- Income Certificate, under Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme.
- Affidavit, if applied under Beti Hai Anmol Scheme (Single Girl Child).
- Kashmiri Migrants & domicile certificate, if applied under Supernumerary Kashmiri Migrant Quota.

HPCET 2024 Cut Off
After the conduct of HPCET 2024 entrance exam, the authority prepare a cut off for selecting the eligible candidates for admission into UG & PG courses at various participating institutes. Applicants can check the HPCET Cut Off 2024 through online mode by visiting the website.
Those applicants who successfully meet the minimum cut off marks are given higher preferences of admission. For determining the cut off marks, various factors are taken into consideration such as marks obtained in entrance exam, seat availability, past year’s cut off trends etc.

HPCET 2024 Seat Allotment & Admission
HPCET 2024 Seat allotment will be released on the basis of rank obtained, seat availability at various institutes and choices of preferences filled by applicants. The selection letter will be issued to selected candidates after the completion of all the formalities.
Selected candidates will have to report at the allotted institution for admission on or before the date and time specified in the selection letter. While reporting for admission, applicants will have to produce their original documents for verification and submit admission fees.
