- GATE Application 2025 is released on 28th August 2024.
- Before registering, candidates must make sure of their eligibility which has been provided below.
- Students must be ready with all the required documents to avoid any confusion later. List of documents necessary for registration is provided below.
- Two Paper combinations will be allowed as per which candidates will have the option to appear for 1 or 2 test papers.
- Complete registration process is through online mode. No offline mode will be entertained for submission of a form.
- Application process involves various steps – Online Registration, filling in asked details (personal/ qualification, etc.), Uploading of documents and submission of application fee.
- Complete details should be filled in carefully as the authority may or may not allow correction in a few details.
- Candidates can also check their status of application by logging into the website with their User ID and password.
- Last date to register is till 3rd October 2024 without late fee. However, if last date is missed by candidates, they can also submit the application with a late fee till 11th October 2024 within the provided time frame.
Registration Fee:
- GATE 2025 Application fee can be paid by applicants through online mode It vary for regular and extended period.
- Through online mode, fees can be paid using debit card, credit card, net banking method, UPI, wallet, etc.

Documents Required for GATE 2025 Registration
For GATE 2025 Registration, students should make sure that they have the required data and documents with them as mentioned below:

GATE 2025 Application Correction
The authority opens the GATE 2025 Application Correction window after/ within the completion of registration process. Registered candidates can modify or edit details in the application until 6th November 2025.
Students will be charged a fee for making correction in the details provided in application form. It will be allowed only in a few details as mentioned in the table below:

GATE 2025 Eligibility Criteria
It is important for candidates to make sure they fulfil the GATE Eligibility Criteria to avoid any rejection of form or candidature later:
- Those studying in 3rd or higher years of any UG degree (currently) or completed any degree (Govt. approved) in Engineering/ Technology, Architecture, Humanities & Sciences are eligible to apply.
- No age limit is prescribed to apply.
- For the ones pursuing or completed their qualifying degree from outside India should be currently in 3rd or higher years of any UG degree OR completed bachelor’s degree (at least 3-year duration) in Engineering/ Technology, Architecture, Humanities & Sciences.
- Candidates possessing certification from any professional societies must ensure that those examinations are approved by AICTE/ MoE/ UPSC/ UGC as being equivalent to B.Tech/ B.E/ B.Arch/ B.Planning, etc.

How to Apply for GATE 2025
To be aware of complete GATE application procedure, candidates can go through below provided section:
- Visit the online website (Link is given above).
- Click on the option provided as – ‘Online Registration/ Apply Online’ under the GATE online application processing system (GOAPS).
