GATE Cutoff: The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR) today 10th April 2025, has released the cutoff of GATE 2025 via online mode.
A cutoff is the minimum score that aspirants are required to achieve to clear the exam and become eligible for admission to participating institutes.
Candidates can check the GATE 2025 cutoff at gate2025.iitr.ac.in. The cutoff has been released category-wise, along with details of candidates registered and appeared.
For this session, the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) was held on 1st, 2nd, 15th & 16th February 2025.
In the GATE 2025 session, a total of 9,36,019 candidates registered, out of which 7,47,319 candidates appeared for the exam. GATE result 2025 has already been released on 19th March 2025.
How To Check Cutoff of GATE 2025
You can view the GATE 2025 session cutoff simply by following the steps given below:
- Go to the IITR GATE website.
- On the homepage, click on the “Get Papers” option.
- A drop-down menu will appear.
- Select the last “GATE 2025 Cutoff Marks” option.
- The cutoff of GATE category-wise will be displayed.
- Check it and save it for further use.

Candidates should know that GATE admission counselling is conducted by the COAP and CCMT portals to provide admission into various institutes and universities. Candidates can participate in COAP counselling rounds from 13th May 2025. Only candidates who have cleared the exam and have met the cutoff are eligible to take part in the online GATE counselling.
