CUSAT 2025 Eligibility
CUSAT CAT Eligibility Criteria 2025 will be the first thing candidates should know before applying for CUSAT 2025 Application Form. Authority allows only eligible candidates to participate in this examination and if any candidates are found not eligible at any point in time then he/she will get disqualified from his /her candidature.
Here, for the ease of candidates we have mention all the eligibility norms set by conducting authority to be eligible for CUSAT 2025 Examination.
General Eligibility:
- The candidates belonging from Kerala Scheduled Caste (KSC) and Kerala Scheduled Tribe (KST) need to score the minimum passing marks in the qualifying examination to be eligible for applying (except marine engineering).
- For Undergraduate Programmes – Minimum eligibility criteria for SEBC candidates of Kerala state with non creamy layer status for admission to B.Tech programme (except marine engineering), will be 45% marks in Mathematics & 45% marks in PCM put together in the qualifying examination.
- For Postgraduate Programmes – 5% relaxation in the minimum required marks of qualifying examination will be provided to SEBC candidates of Kerala State with Non-Creamy Layer Status.
- 5% relaxation in the qualifying examination marks for M.Tech programme will be given to the candidates holding valid GATE scores.
The minimum eligibility requirements of CUSAT 2025 are mentioned below course-wise:

B.Tech | Minimum eligibility required will be 12th examination passed from the state of Kerala or any equivalent examination. Pass qualifying examination with 50% marks in Mathematics & 50% marks in PCM subjects put together. |
B.Tech Instrumentation Technology | Must Passed 10+2 from the recognized state/national board with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Minimum marks required in qualifying examination will be 60% marks in PCM put together & 55% marks in Mathematics individually. For SEBC candidates of Kerala state, minimum 55% marks in PCM subjects put together and 50% marks in Mathematics is required. |
B.Tech Naval Architecture & Ship Building | Prerequisite qualification will be 12th examination passed from the state of Kerala or any other equivalent examination with minimum 60% marks. In the qualifying examination (12th), candidates should have 50% marks in Mathematics separately and 50% marks in PCM subjects put together. |
B.Tech Marine Engineering | Candidates have to pass class 12th or equivalent examination by securing 60% marks in PCM subjects put together and 50% marks alone in mathematics. Must have passed 10th & 12th class with English subject by obtaining 50% marks. Vocational/diploma candidates are not eligible to apply for CUSAT CAT. Maximum prescribed age limit will be 25 years as on 1st September of the year of admission. |
5 Year integrated M.Sc in Photonics | Pass 12th examination from the state of Kerala with PCM subjects and securing 50% marks in Mathematics & 50% marks in PCM subjects put together. |
BBA.LL.B (Hons.) & B.Com.LL.B. (Hons.) | Pass 10+2 examination in science stream with minimum 60% marks or 55% marks in commerce/Arts/Humanities. Candidates should not have completed 20 years of age as on 1st July of the year of admission (22 years in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates). |
3 Year LLB | Must have passed bachelor’s degree in any stream with 40% aggregate marks (35% marks for SC/ST). |
M.Sc Computer Science | Candidates should have passed 3-years Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information technology/computer applications/computer science & engineering with first class (60% marks). |
M.A. in Applied Economics | Pass bachelor’s degree in economics with 55% marks or B.Com, BBA, BBM with Economics as one of the subjects with 60% marks or B.Sc. Mathematics or Statistics with 65% marks (passing marks required for SC/ST). |
MBA | Must have passed Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. Candidate’s should have valid score in MAT, CMAT or CAT. |
MCA | Candidates who have passed graduation in science stream with Mathematics or graduation in Electronics/Information Technology/Computer Science/Computer Applications/Engineering/Technology with minimum aggregate of 55% marks are eligible for this course. |
LLM | Passed bachelor’s degree in law with at least 45% marks. |
M.Tech | Passed B.Tech or equivalent degree in relevant discipline with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university/institution. A valid GATE Score. |
M. Voc. in Mobile Phone Application Development | The prerequisite qualification for this course is B.Tech in Information Technology/Computer Science/Electronics & Communication passed with at least 60% marks or MCA/M Sc Computer Science passed with first class or B Voc. degree in relevant disciplines passed with at least 60% marks. |
M. Voc. in Technology & Management Consulting | Pass B.Tech in branch of engineering with minimum 60% marks or MBA degree passed with 60% marks or B Voc. degree in relevant disciplines passed with at least 60% marks. |
