Chandigarh University organises Chandigarh University -Common Entrance Test (CUCET). It is conducted once in a year as a university level entrance exam. Candidates through this entrance exam get admissions into various UG/ Integrated/ PG programs in the university.

CUCET 2025 Exam Pattern 

Before proceeding to this online exam, it is very important to know the complete exam pattern. With the help of exam pattern, candidates can know about the types of questions which will be going to ask in the examination. Candidates also get an idea of numbers of questions and marking scheme.

If the candidate know details about the exam pattern, then he/ she will be able to score good marks by making the useful strategy. So, it is advised to the candidates that first know your complete exam pattern and then go for preparation.

CUCET Exam Pattern Details

The exam pattern of Chandigarh University CUCET 2025 is in the following manner:

  • Examination Mode: CUCET Phase II will be conducted through online mode. Candidates can appear at home using a laptop/ PC with a camera.
  • Exam Instructions: Students must strictly adhere to CUCET exam instructions and other rules during appearing for exam from the comfort of their place. An exam invigilator will be also available for students on ‘Live Chat‘ for guiding answer to the queries.
  • Laptop/ PC Requirement: Candidates must have a laptop with a web camera and stable internet connection (≥ 1 Mbps).
  • Type & Total Questions: There will be 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in the paper.
  • Attempts: Candidates can appear for multiple phases of CUCET – I & II. However, only two attempts per phase is allowed.
  • Language: The questions will be asked in English language. Those having 10+2 Arts can make choice of Hindi.
  • Time: For solving paper, 120 minutes will be provided.

Marking Scheme

  • Candidates marking correct response will be awarded +1 mark.
  • There will be no negative marking in the entrance exam.
  • No marks will be given for unattempted question.

Entrance Exam Instructions

  • Students appearing for the entrance exam, must go through complete details of the pattern as mentioned for particular exams.
  • The syllabus for the candidates who are taking the exam for UG admission can be checked online on the website. Students can prepare from the topics of 10+2 level.
  • Those who are taking the exam for PG admission can prepare from the topics of graduation level.
  • Students are allowed to appear for multiple phases but must note that only two attempts per phase is allowed. Such candidates can appear for their next attempt by paying Rs.500/-. The Scholarship slabs vary for different phases.

  1. I wanted to know the syllabus of cuet 2023, as I have chosen history, geography, and general test for the cuet exam for Ba. honours , Ba.in arts for BHU ,DU and some other central universities ?

    1. One must have passed 10th and 12th level examination from a recognised board to be eligible for CUCET 2023.

    Can they apply for more than two languages?

    1. Examination will be conducted through online mode. Question paper will be available in English language only.
