CLAT 2026 Application Form

Aspirants are suggested to read the below instructions before filling the CLAT Application Form 2026:

• Application form will be made available through online mode from second week of July 2026.
• Aspirants are advised to read the instructions carefully and provide correct & authentic details.
• Name of candidates and parents should be spelt correctly as per their marksheets or certificates.
• Fill all the asked details carefully i.e. personal, educational, category, course etc.
• Upload photograph & signature while submitting the online application form. Candidates must make sure to upload all the documents in PDF format.
• Candidates are advised to not fill more than one application form. In such cases fee will not be refunded.
• Application form will be submitted till third week of October 2026.
• NLU will also provide correction facility in the fourth week of October 2026 to those candidates who have made mistakes while filling the form.
• Once the application form is submitted, candidates must take some printouts of it for future reference.

Documents to be Uploaded With CLAT 2026 Applications

• Front facing passport size recent photograph with plain background
• Candidate’s signature
• Relevant certificate issued by the authority (if applying under P.W.D)
• Relevant certificate issued by the authority (if applying under BPL category)
• Category certificate (if applying under SC/ST/OBC)

CLAT 2026 Application Fee

• Application fee will be remitted through online mode only.
• Online payment will be accepted through debit card/ credit card or other payment gateways.
• Candidates will also have to pay bank charges to pay fee online.
• Application fee will be non-refundable & non-adjustable once submitted.

CLAT 2026 Application Correction

CLAT 2026 Correction Window will be opened in fourth week of October 2026. Candidates will be able to edit incorrect details through online mode using their login credentials. Correction facilities will be provided to the candidates only in selected areas.

Application correction will be a one-time correction facility for the candidates as no changes in details will be accepted after this. Candidates will be able to make changes in details such as name, date of birth, programs, reservation etc.

CLAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must check and fulfill all the given CLAT 2026 eligibility criteria before planning to appear for the exam:

Undergraduate Law Courses:

• Qualifications: To apply for UG Courses, candidates must have passed in 10+2 or its equivalent exam.
• Age Limit: No upper age limit will be there to apply.
• Mark Criteria: Candidates belonging to General/ OBC/ NRI category must have obtained 45% marks or its equivalent grade and those belonging to SC/ ST/ PWD category must have 40% marks.
• Appearing: Candidates who are taking the qualifying examination in March/ April 2026 will also be eligible to apply if they provide proof of this.

Postgraduate Law Courses:

• Qualifications: Candidates must have an LLB Degree or its equivalent to be eligible for exam.
• Age Limit: There will be no upper age limit to apply for CLAT 2026.
• Mark Criteria: Candidates must have 50% marks (General/ OBC/ NRI) and 45% marks (SC/ ST/ PWD) or its equivalent grade in their qualifying exam
• Appearing: Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying exam in April/ May 2026 will also be eligible to apply.

How to Apply for CLAT 2026

In the below section, we have given step by step process to apply for CLAT 2026:

• Go through the CLAT website (link will be available above).
• Click on the “Register” button and enter asked details such as name, email ID and mobile number.
• An OTP will be send to your registered mobile number. After verification of the details an application number will be generated by the system.
• Now click on “Login” button and provide your login ID i.e. application form and password.
• Fill application form with correct details including educational, personal, programme, category etc. details.
• Now fill the preferences for NLUs as per your choice and select your reservation quota.
• Upload scanned images of photograph, signature and other documents in the PDF format.
• Go to the payment section after filling all the necessary details in the application form.
• Make payment of application fee through online mode using debit card/ credit card/ net banking or other online payment gateways.
• Registration fee will not be refunded or adjusted under any circumstances.
• Take printout of the filled application form/ confirmation page after final submission of application form.
