For the 2025 session, CBSE Class 10 exams were held from February 15th to March 18th, while Class 12 exams took place from February 15th to April 04th.

Why CBSE Stopped Releasing the Toppers List

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has stopped releasing the topper lists. The board decided not to release the topper list for class 10th and 12th class board examinations due to unhealthy competition among students.

Instead of a topper list, the CBSE releases a merit certificate based on performance, overall result statistics, and subject-wise performance data.

In the past, CBSE released the topper list of students who had secured the highest marks in the board examinations. However, this led to increased competition and pressure among students to secure the first rank.

To maintain a positive and healthy academic environment, CBSE decided to discontinue releasing the topper list. The move aimed to reduce academic pressure and discourage unhealthy competition among students. The decision has been appreciated by many parents, teachers, and educators.

However, the authority aims to reduce performance pressure, discourage negative competition, and promote holistic development and a healthy environment among students. Therefore, it will not release a topper list for the CBSE Board Examination 2025.

The board released the CBSE 2024 board result for classes 10th and 12th on 13th May 2024, so for this year, it is expected that the result will be released in mid-May 2025. However, till now no official dates have been released by the authority.
