
CBSE Syllabus Update: The Central Board of Higher Education has released the syllabus for secondary and senior secondary classes (9, 10, 11, and 12) for the 2025-26 academic session.
CBSE has released the board exams syllabus for the upcoming academic session to help students and teachers. To make them familiar with topics early.
Students can check the CBSE syllabus at cbse.gov.in. It is released in PDF format for the Secondary Curriculum (IX-X) and Senior Secondary Curriculum (XI-XII).
For the academic session 2025-2026, there have been changes in the syllabus, and reforms in the education system are expected. These include two board exams for Class 10, competency-based questions, a revised revaluation process, and subject-specific guidelines.
How To Download CBSE Board Syllabus
Follow the given steps to check and download the CBSE board classes 10th and 12th syllabus 2025-2026:
- Go to the CBSE website cbse.gov.in
- Click on the “Academic Website” option.
- Look for the “curriculum” option.
- Click on it and tap “curriculum 2025-2026” from the drop-down.
- You will be redirected to “Curriculum for the Academic Year 2025-26” page.
- Select the respective class and click on it.
- CBSE subject-wise syllabus will appear on screen.

Scheme of Studies For CBSE Exam
Classes XI, X, IX, and XII are composite courses. Students need to select only those subjects in Class XI that they intend to continue in Class XII. Students can offer a minimum of 5 subjects or more in Class XI, and they must continue the same subjects in Class XII.
Similarly, for classes IX and X, students are required to choose only those subjects in class IX that they plan to continue in Class X. Below are the secondary and senior secondary subjects to be offered:

The changes have been made in the CBSE syllabus and reforms in the education for a better understanding of subjects, to increase students’ engagement, enhance practical skills, and give them an environment where they learn things interestingly.
Board class 10th examination will be held in February and April, whereas class 12 exams will begin on February 17, 2026.
