Common Admission Test (CAT) is a national level examination. Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta has conducted the exam in slot 1, slot 2 & 3 among various cities.
The examination is conducted every year on a rotation basis. On the basis of CAT scores, candidates get admission into other management colleges.

CAT 2024/ 2025 Exam Analysis
The CAT 2024 registration began on 1st August and ended on 20th September 2024. The Authority provides correction facility for limited time period. Candidates were only allowed to edit their signature & photograph only. Total 2.88 lakh candidates appeared for the examination.
The authority also provides mock test for candidates. The admit card for CAT 2024 was made available on 5th November 2024. CAT 2024 examination has been conducted in computer based test mode on 24th November 2024, Sunday for providing admission to MBA/ PGDM course.
The examination was successfully conducted in three slots. This year, CAT 2024 exam was conducted at 400 test centres in 170 cities.
Notable change in CAT 2024 paper was there were increase number of questions this year i.e. 68 questions (last year 66 questions).
Slot Wise CAT 2024 Exam Analysis

CAT Exam 2024 Slot 1 (24th November):
On comparison with the previous year paper, Slot 1 paper of CAT 2024 had increased level of difficulty. Exam was quite tricky. The paper had total of 68 questions which were to be attempted in 120 minutes.
Overall difficulty level was higher than that of last year. However, those who were very much familiar with the exam pattern found it predictable and managed the paper well with the time limit.
CAT Exam 2024 Slot 2 (24th November):
The Slot 2 of CAT Exam 2024 was considered moderately difficult and had questions like the previous slot. The VARC section was considered to be moderate in difficulty level.
CAT Exam 2024 Slot 3 (24th November):
The Slot 3 of CAT 2024 conducted on 24th November 2024. As per the students reviews, the quantitative section was considered to be difficulty and tricky. Overall paper was considered to be moderately difficult. VARC and DILR section appeared to be easy in this slot.
