Admission Procedure
The admissions in Engineering courses is offered through national and state level entrance exams. Candidates can appear in the exam by filling up the application form.
On qualifying the entrance exam, candidates will be called for counselling for providing admissions. Candidates can also appear in university level entrance exam for admission in particular university.
Entrance Exams
Candidates can appear in any of the entrance exams to get admission in the B.Tech courses offered in the state. The admissions is offered through the national level JEE Main 2025 entrance exam for B.Tech and JEE Advanced 2025 for admission in IITs.
The state level admission process is also conducted for engineering courses by the name of TNEA 2025 (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions). Candidates can also appear in SRMJEEE 2025, AEEE 2025 and VITEEE 2025 university level exams. For M.Tech courses, candidates must have to appear in national level GATE 2025 entrance exam.
Counselling of JEE Main candidates will be regulated by JoSAA and CSAB counselling authorities. The counselling will be organised through online mode for JEE qualified candidates. CSAB will organise the counselling rounds for vacant seats only.

- Candidates will have to score minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category candidates) in their qualifying examination.

Selection Procedure
The counselling will be organized after the announcement of the entrance exam result. The seats will be allotted on the basis of rank of the candidates. TNEA is an admission process in which admissions is offered on the basis of 12th class percentage.
In the counselling session candidates will have to select the institutions and specialization of their choice. Candidates those who are qualified in the entrance exam will be called for the counselling.
It will be necessary to attend counselling to get admission in the participating institutions. On the basis of entrance test score, 12th score, filled choice & availability of seats, the seat will be allotted to the candidates.
