Jammu & Kashmir B.Tech 2025 Admission Procedure

The entrance examination is organised for providing admissions into Engineering courses. Students will be able to apply for admission in B.Tech and B.Arch courses through national level and state level entrance examination. Few colleges conduct their own admission procedure for offering admissions.

Entrance Exam

JEE Main 2025 is the famous national level entrance examination for entering into the first year of engineering and architecture courses. Candidates seeking admission in the state college will have to appear in this exam. 

Candidates will have to fill the application via online mode through the website of NTA. The application form should be filled before the due date. The exam conducting authority will not accept the application after the due date.

Candidates will also be given admission through state level entrance exam which is JKCET 2025 (Jammu & Kashmir Common Entrance Test). The exam is conducted by the JKBOPEE (Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations).

B.Tech Admission 2025

For admission in various government and private institutions of the state, the candidate must fulfill the eligibility criteria given below.

  • Applying candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • Candidates must have completed their 12th or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics from a recognized board.
  • It will be necessary to score a minimum of 50% (40% for SC/ST category) in the qualifying exam.
  • Appearing candidates those results are awaited will also be able to apply.

Selection Procedure

Candidates will be selected on the basis of centralized counseling conducted by the concerned authority. Candidates must participate in the counselling for admission. Candidates should attend the counselling on the basis of their ranks in the entrance exam. To participate in the counselling process, candidates will have to pay the counselling fee.

After fee payment, candidates will be allowed to fill the course and college preference. Seats will be allotted on the basis of rank, choices filled by the candidates and availability of seats in participating colleges. Candidates should report in the allotted college within a given time period with a provisional allotment letter.
