Admission Procedure
The admission in Chennai colleges and universities is offered on the basis of entrance exams which are conducted on various levels. Candidates those seeking admissions in the Engineering courses can appear in these entrance exam and get admission. Candidates can get admissions on a state level and a national level entrance exam.
Entrance Exams
The various government and private universities and institutions offer admissions through national level JEE Main 2024 entrance exam. Candidates, those want to get admission into B.Tech course in IITs, they have to qualify the JEE Advanced 2024. TNEA 2024 (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) is the state level admission procedure for offering admissions in B.Tech courses after class 12th.
Candidates can also apply for university-level exams, SRMJEEE 2024 & VITEEE 2024 for engineering courses admission. Candidates those wish to pursue M.Tech course, can apply through GATE 2024 scorecard.
JEE Main exam is organized by the NTA (National Testing Agency) in various sessions. Students can apply for this exam through online mode only. No offline mode is available to fill the application. Candidates must fill the application before the due date to avoid last minute rush.

B.Tech Admission 2024
Candidates should meet the eligibility criteria given below to appear in the entrance exam. Without fulfilling these eligibilities candidates cannot sit in the written exam.
- Candidate must belong to the India national.
- Candidates should pass the 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics and any one (Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational) Subjects.
- Candidates should have 45% marks (40% marks for reserved category candidates) in their qualifying exam.
- Appearing candidates can also apply.
Selection Procedure
Candidates those who qualify in the entrance exam is considered for the counselling session. JEE Main and Advanced qualified candidates have to register in the centralized counselling organized by the JoSSA. It is necessary to register for any counselling in their respective website.
On the basis of candidates’ rank obtained in the entrance exam, they are called for the counselling where they have to fill their preferences. On the basis of choice filling and document verification, the seats have been allotted to the candidates.
