AP EAMCET Normalisation Process
Normalisation is a process used for ensuring the students are neither advantaged or disadvantaged by difficulty level of examination conducted in multiple shifts. This process is based on a formula for ranking all the candidates across all sessions in a comparative scale.
The normalised process of marks of candidates in AP EAMCET 2024 exam will be calculated as follows:
= GMS + Top Average Global – GMS/ Top Average Session – SMS X (Marks Obtained by Candidate – SMS)
Where,
SMS is sum of Average and Standard Deviation of the sessions in which candidates belong to
GMS is sum of Average and Standard Deviation of all the candidates across all session together
Top Average Session is an Average marks of to 0.1% of the candidates in the session in which candidates belongs to.
Top Average Global is an Average marks of to 0.1% of all the candidates of all sessions put together.
AP EAMCET Tie-Breaking Criteria
For the preparation of merit list, in case of more than one candidate securing same combined score in entrance examination, tie will be resolved to decide relative ranking by successively considering the following points:
- First priority will be given to total marks secured in AP EAMCET 2024.
- Secondly, marks secured in Mathematics in AP EAMCET 2024.
- Thirdly, marks secured in Physics AP EAMCET 2024.
- If tie still remains, same rank will be given and older will be given preference at the time of admission.
AP EAMCET 2024 Cut Off
The authority has prescribed 25% of maximum marks as the qualifying percentage of marks for considering AP EAPCET 2024 ranking. There will be no qualifying marks prescribed by the authority for candidates belonging to Schedule caste or Schedule Tribe.admission will be limited to the extent of reserved for such categories.
AP EAMCET 2024 Counselling
The AP EAMCET 2024 counselling is held from 1st July 2024. The counselling is conducted for candidates those have successfully qualified for entrance examination. The counselling is done in various rounds.
Candidates shortlisted in merit list are invited for participating in various rounds of counselling process. Candidates will be allotted seats only after the verification of documents and payment of fees. The shortlisted candidates will be allowed to make choices of colleges and courses as per their preferences.
