Anna University 2025 Eligibility Criteria

For BE/B.Tech Programmes:
- Qualification: One must have passed 12th class or equivalent to be eligible to apply.
- Nationality: Candidates who have passed 8th to 12th standard from outside Tamil Nadu will be required to show Original Nativity Certificate in electronic form/ digitally signed e-certificate.
- Marks: At least 45% marks by general category and 40% marks by reserved category candidates must be obtained in qualifying exam.
- Subjects: Candidates must have passed 12th level with PCM as compulsory subjects.
- Selection: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission).
For B.Arch Programme:
- Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from any recognised board.
- One must have passed 10+3 years Diploma or International Baccalaureate Diploma after 10 years of schooling with Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
- Marks: One must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in qualifying examination to be eligible.
- Scores: Applicants must have a valid scorecard of NATA exam to be eligible for admission.
For MBA Programme:
- Qualification: Applying candidates must be a bachelor’s degree holder of minimum 3 years duration from any recognised college.
- 10+2+3/4/5 years pattern or 10+3 years Diploma + 3 years Pattern or B.E/B.Tech/B. Pharm/B. Arch, or 10+2+ AMIE, or 10+3 year diploma (awarded by SBTE) + AMIE will be applicable.
- Marks: Applicants must secure a minimum of 50% marks (40% for reserved category) in qualifying degree.
For MCA Programme:
- Qualification: Candidates must have passed a bachelor’s degree in 10+2+3/4/5 years pattern, or 10+3 years Diploma + 3 years Pattern, or B.E/B.Tech/B. Pharm/B. Arch, or 10+2+ AMIE, or 10+3 year diploma (awarded by SBTE) + AMIE
- Marks: In the qualifying degree, one must have secured a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved category).
For M.E. / M.Tech. /M.Arch./M.Plan. Programme (CEETA PG):
- Qualification: One must complete their Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields from any recognised institute/university.
- Minimum Scores: A minimum of 50% marks (45% in case of BC/ BCM/ MBS/ SC/ SCA/ ST) must be obtained in qualifying examination.
- Appearing: Candidates appearing for final semester/year examination will also be eligible to apply.
