The Joint Admission Board also known as (JAB) on 5th November announce via that any student who passed class 12th in the year 2023, 2024, or 2025 could appear for JEE-Advanced three times instead of the earlier limit of two.
Following this announcement, many aspirants left their college between the sessions and started focusing on their JEE Main and JEE Advanced preparation.
However, the board on 18th November 2025 made a sudden announcement reversing the decision and went back to the original rule of only two attempts. This decision left many of the candidates confused and worried as they left their college studies in between the sessions to prepare for JEE based on the earlier decision.
