Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Kolkata

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Kolkata is an autonomous science and research college located in Kolkata district of West Bengal.  The college is popularly known as IISER-K and was established in the year 2006 by MHRD with the objective of imparting quality education and research in the field of Science. The college is located in Nadia district of West Bengal and in the short span of time it is counted among the top research institutes of the country.

Campus:

The college campus of IISER, Kolkata is located near Kalyani in Nadia district. The college campus is spread in an area of 201 acres having all major facilities  for students and faculty members. The college is well connected to road and railway transport and the capital city Kolkata is located 50 Km away from the college campus. The IISER is temporary operating from the Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya campus whereas as the new campus is to be constructed at  Haringhata.

Facilities:

The College is providing all major facilities to its staff and students like well equipped labs and workshops, spacious and well ventilated classrooms, well stocked library with large collection of books and journals. The other facilities provided by the college include Hostel facility, sports facility, canteen and mess facility etc.
