Government Engineering College, Thrissur

The Government Engineering College, Thrissur was established in the year 1957 as the first engineering college after the formation of Kerala state. The foundation stone was laid by late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. It is also the second engineering college of Kerala. It is a fully government engineering college affiliated to the University of Calicut and approved by the AICTE. The college has been awarded with ISO 9001:2008 certifications.

Campus

The campus is located in the 120 acres of land. The campus is situated at 5 km away from the heart of the city Thrissur and 6 km away from the Thrissur Railway Station. The campus is located at Ramavarmapuram in Thrissur district of Kerala. It is an education and research institution.

Facilities

The campus provides the hostels (separated for boys and girls), transportation facility, sports ground, spacious classrooms and medical centre as the campus facilities. Beside these, the campus provides the computer centre, library, engineering and science laboratories and internet as the academic facilities.

The Government College of Engineering, Thrissur offers various UG and PG programmes with the domains as B.Tech and M.Tech in the field of architecture, engineering and technology, computer application and manufacturing system management.
