Dr. S.S. Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology,( UICET) was established in the year 1958 in collaboration with IIT Chicago. The department is one of the oldest department of Panjab University. The institute was previously known as Department of Chemical Engineering & Technology, DCET. The institute is one of the premier institute of chemical studies in the country imparting quality technical education and providing support to training and research activities.

Campus:

The UICET is located in the beautiful capital city Chandigarh. The Punjab university campus is spread in an area of 550 acres. The college campus is located in sector 14 and 25. The college campus is located in the city centre and well connected to all means of transport.

Facilities:

The college has good infrastructure comprising of all major facilities like well equipped labs and workshops. Well spacious and ventilated classrooms, well stocked library, seminar hall and auditorium, sports and recreational facilities, hostel facility for boys and girls etc.

Placement:

The Panjab university has a central training and placement cell which assist students in their training and placements.  The cell provides a platform to the students by inviting various renowned organization in the campus for the campus recruitment of the students.
