Applicants must meet the given Odisha DET Eligibility Criteria 2026:

Diploma in Engineering/Technology/Vocational Courses:

• Educational Qualification: One must have passed 10th or equivalent examination conducted by BSE, Odisha.
• Age Limit: Applicants lower age limit will be 14 years as of 1st July 2026 with no upper age limit.

Lateral Entry Engineering and Technology:

• Educational Qualification: Aspiring candidates must have passed 12th level or equivalent from any recognised board.
• Subjects: Students must have passed the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).

Admission into various polytechnic courses will be done strictly on merit basis. A separate category and course wise merit list will be drawn for state/ outside State candidates. The effective mark and reservation will be taken into consideration while preparing the merit list.

Odisha DET Counselling/ Admissions 2026 into diploma courses will be made according to the final merit rank drawn on the basis of marks secured by a candidate in the qualifying examination.

Shortlisted students will have to complete online registration for seat allocation. Odisha DET 2026 counselling procedure will be commenced from first week of June 2026 for lateral entry course and in fourth week of June 2026 for first year diploma programs.
