The Union Minister for Education, Dharmendra Pradhan, announced on Tuesday that the National Testing Agency will not conduct recruitment exams from the session 2025.

While speaking with the reporter, he said that NTA will focus only on conducting the higher education entrance examination such as (Joint Entrance Examination) JEE Main and (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) NEET, etc.

This decision is made by considering the past few incidents that happened while conducting the entrance exams. This move aims to restore exam conduct trust and better conduct of the exam and management.

He has also stated that instead of the traditional pen-paper mode, the government plans to introduce a tech-driven approach to conduct the exam more fairly and correctly. The CUET UG exam will be conducted once a year while the discussion is still ongoing on the mode for the NEET examination.

NTA was formed in 2017 and since then it has been conducting many national levels entrance and recruitment exams.
