Kongu Engineering College, Erode

Kongu Engineering College has been established in the year 1984 by  Kongu Vellalar Institute of Technology Trust. It is a private and self-financing engineering college. The college was affiliated to the Anna University till 2008. From the year 2009, it became the Kongu University recognizes by UGC. The institution has awarded with the ISO 9001 certification.

Campus:

The campus is located in the rural area on the outskirt of the city Perundurai at Kumaran Nagar in Erode, the district of Tamil Nadu. The campus is spread over in 173.25 acres of land.

The campus has around total 2100 annual intake capacity of all programmes including engineering, management and applied science. The campus has more than 500 faculty members from all departments.

The campus provides big classrooms, laboratories, workshop, computer centre, library with several volumes, play field, canteen, transport facility and separate hostels for boys and girls.

The college has developed various associations, clubs and societies which execute the extra and co-curricular activities including cultural, technical and social programmes.

Kongu Engineering College has been established the placement and training cell in the year 1998. The cell arranges the campus recruitment by inviting the companies for selection of final year’s students.
