WBJEE 2024 Result will be announced in fourth week of May 2024 through online mode. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations (WBJEE) is a state level entrance examination. The Government of West Bengal has entitled West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) to conduct this exam.  

The examination is held once in a year for admission to Undergraduate courses in Engineering/Technology, Pharmacy and Agriculture. The admission will be offered in different universities, government colleges as well as Self Financing Engineering/ Technological Institutes in the state of West Bengal.

WBJEE 2024 Result

The WBJEE 2024 Result will be released in a form of a Rank Card. The result will be announced via online mode on the website. Candidates those have appeared for the WBJEE 2024 entrance examination will be able to download their result. 

The result will be declared individually for every individual candidate participating in WBJEE 2024 exam. The result will be declared in fourth week of May 2024. Candidates will be able to download their result by logging in with their login credentials.

• The WBJEE 2024 Result page will be navigated on the computer screen.

WBJEE 2024 Rank Card

The board will prepare a WBJEE 2024 merit rank based on candidate’s scores in entrance examination. The rank card will contain all relevant ranks, total scores and component scores.  Candidates will be able to check and download their rank card by login into the website using their passwords. The rank will be issued to all candidates who will appear in WBJEE 2024.

WBJEE 2024 Tie-Breaking Criteria

In the event of two or more candidates scoring equal marks in WBJEE 2024, then tie will be resolved  by applying the mentioned criteria:

Tie-breaking criteria for GMR:

1. Less negative marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry will be taken together.
2. More positive marks in Mathematics and Physics will be taken together.
3. More positive marks in Mathematics and Chemistry will be taken together.
4. Less negative marks in Mathematics and Physics will be taken together.
5. Less negative marks in Mathematics and Chemistry will be taken together
6. More positive marks in Mathematics for only two marks questions.
7. More positive marks in Physics for only two marks questions.
8. More positive marks in Chemistry for only two marks questions.
9. Less negative marks in Mathematics for only two marks questions.
10. Less negative marks in Physics for only two marks questions.

Tie-breaking criteria for PMR:

1. Less negative marks in Physics and Chemistry will be taken together.
2. More positive marks in Chemistry will be taken together.
3. Less negative marks in Chemistry will be taken together.
4. More positive marks in Chemistry for only two marks questions.
5. Less negative marks in Chemistry for only two marks questions.
6. More positive marks in Physics for only two marks questions.
7. Less negative marks in Physics for only two marks questions.

• In case a tie still appears, then date of birth of candidates in descending order will be considered.
• If a tie still remains, then it will be decided by application number in descending order.

WBJEE 2024 Cut Off

WEBJEE will release a separate category wise cut-off in the form of opening and closing ranks for each subject. The cut-off will consist of minimum rank required by candidates for admission to the participating institutions.  The cut-off rank of WBJEE 2024 will vary as per the different institutes, courses and the category of candidates.  

The cut-off will be determined by various factors such as:

• Number of candidates applied
• Difficulty level of exam
• Number of candidates qualified 
• Previous year cut-off trend

WBJEE 2024 Counselling

The WBJEE 2024 counselling will be started in fourth week of May 2024. The board will publish a separate notification with details of counselling and admission on the website a few days after the declaration of result. The counselling will be done in various aspects such as registration, choice filling, allotment, payment of seat acceptance fee etc.

There will be three rounds of counselling i.e, allotment, upgradation and counselling. The shortlisted candidates will have to upload their respective documents in original for verification. The WBJEE 2024 counselling will be held through online mode.
