Karunya University, Coimbatore
Karunya University has been established on 4th October 1986 as a private, self-financing and Christian minority institution named as Karunya Institute of Technology by the Human Resource Karunya Educational Trust. In the year 2004, it was awarded as the Deemed University’s status by the UGC.
Campus:
Karunya University is spread over in 7oo acres of vast land in Karunya Nagar in district Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The campus is 25 km away from the Coimbatore city.
Programmes:
Karunya University offers a chain of academic education from undergraduate to research programme. The university offers 12 UG courses, 21 PG courses and 2 PG diploma courses in engineering studies. The university offers the Integrated programmes in 3 discipline of technology & science and other PG courses like MBA, MCA , MA, LLM and M.Sc in 9 disciplines of science. The campus has around 7000 students in UG degree courses and 2100 students in PG programmes. The campus offers the ambient faculty strength as over 700 faculty members from all departments.

Karunya University has a computer technology centre, central library, big auditorium, guest house, separate academic & administrative buildings, separate hostel for boys and girls, bank, post office and hospital facility.
Activities:
The university conducts & organizes the Linex Club activities, rural development activities, centre for extension activities, NSS & YRC activities. The campus celebrates the sports day, annual day and technical festival.
Placement:
Karunya University has been established the placement cell in form of CIC (Centre for Industrial Corporation) in the year 2001. The CIC organizes the job placement for the students through the campus or off-campus interview and provides trainings by conducting students development programmes, faculty development programmes and professional development programmes for non-technical staff.
