Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) is a national level admission procedure conducted every year by one of the participating institutions on the rotational basis. DASA is a scheme of Ministry of Education, Government of India. Admission is offered to Foreign Nationals, PIO & NRI candidates under UG & PG level courses. DASA 2024 Result
The DASA 2024 Result is published via online mode. For UG courses, merit list is prepared on the basis of total scores only. JEE Main scores are considered for UG based courses. Those who have relevant SAT scores by MNNIT Allahabad from the College Board are considered valid for the merit list along with the seat allotment process.
For PG courses, it is considered on the basis of total scores of GMAT/ GRE only. Candidates who have relevant scores of GRE/ GMAT by MNNIT Allahabad are considered valid for further process.
DASA 2024 Selection Procedure
Candidates who get shortlisted in the merit list are called for selection procedure. For UG, there are four rounds & for PG, there are two rounds. It is compulsory to be considered valid for round 1 to confirm their option.
If one get selected in round 1, he/ she have a choice to either accept or decline as per the alloted seat option. Course/ Institute along with provisional allotment letter are given to candidates who accept. However, further they have to select round 2, then round 3 and process is continued so on till last/ 4th round.
One who decline, then he/ she have to proceed directly to round 4/ spot round process. They are not allowed to choose round 2 & 3.

DASA 2024 Counselling
DASA 2024 counselling process is held for every eligible candidates. It is held via online mode. NBE has started the process from 10th June 2024 for UG & PG courses. Only those candidates whose name appear in the merit list have to attend the counselling process.
The procedure include various rounds such as registration, choice filling, seat allotment, reporting, document verification etc. Further, candidates have to complete all remaining formalities, once seat is allotted to them.

DASA 2024 Application Form
Candidates must check following details regarding DASA 2024 application form:
- The application form for DASA 2024 has been released via online mode.
- Candidates can fill the registration form (UG) from 10th June 2024.
- The application form for PG level courses for DASA 2024 is made available from 10th June 2024.
- At the time of registration, candidates must not forget to upload passport size photograph & signature in prescribed format.
- All important information is send to candidate’s registered ID & number, so make sure it is valid and working.
- The registration form can be accepted only of eligible candidates so applying candidates must check the norms before applying.
- Authority may or may not provide any correction facility, so one must fill the form completely & carefully.
- The last date to submit for UG & PG courses is till 19th June 2024.

Candidates must check following steps while filling DASA application form:

- Click on “New Registration” option
- Fill basic & communication details such as Name, qualification, D.O.B & contact number.
- An OTP will be sent on your registered mail ID & number.
- After login, fill other asked & required details in the form.
- Upload passport size photograph & required documents in prescribed format.
- Re-check & verify the details.
- After verification, submit the application fee as per your course & category.
- A confirmation page will appear on your screen.
- Take its printout & keep safe till future use.
DASA 2024 Eligibility Criteria
One must check following eligibility norms before applying for DASA 2024:
For UG courses:
- Nationality: All Foreign national candidates studying in any country including India or Indian nationals studying abroad who fulfil prescribed admission criteria.
- Qualification: Applying candidates must have qualified 12th level exam from any recognized board or universities.
- Mandatory Subject: Candidate must have Physics & Chemistry as mandatory subject & any one from Chemistry, Computer Science & Bio-technology.
- Percentage: One must have scored at least 75% marks in the qualifying exam.
- Age Limit: To be eligible, candidates must be born on or after 1st October, 1999.
- Rank: One must have valid JEE Main rank.
- Appearing: Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination will be also eligible to apply.
For PG courses:
- Nationality: Foreign nationals, PIOs or OCI category candidates will be eligible to apply.
- Qualification: Applying candidates must have qualified UG courses in Engineering, Technology or Equivalent programmes.
- Qualification (MBA): One must have qualified bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognized board or university.
- Subjects: He/ She must have Mathematics & Physics subject & any one from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology or Computer Science.
- Percentage: One must have scored minimum 60% Marks or 50 CGPA (on a 10 point scale) in qualifying examination.
- Appearing: Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination will be also eligible to apply.

For UG admission to IIIT Hyderabad, is JEE Mains required. Or do they also consider SAT exam scores.
