BITS Pilani- Hyderabad Campus, Hyderabad

Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani- Hyderabad Campus was established in the year 2008 as a private and self-financing institution. The BITS, Pilani campus is a deemed to be University approved by the UGC and accredited by the NAAC. The Pilani campus is one of the reputed institutions of BITS group of Education. The campus has a membership of Royal Society of Chemistry, London and American Chemical Society.

Campus:

The BITS Pilani campus is spread over in 200 acres of land, sited on the Jawahar Nagar in Shameerpet Mandal in Hyderabad, the district of Andhra Pradesh. The campus is 27 km away from the Hyderabad City and 70 km from the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.

Programmes:

The BITS Pilani campus is conducting the B.Pharm (Hons.), 8 B.Tech programmes, 6 M.Sc Programmes, 7 M.Tech programmes, M.Pharm, M.Phill and PhD programme in 11 fields of research. Read More >>

Students & Faculty:

The BITS Pilani campus offers 700 seats every year for admission in all programmes and caters around 2800 students and 140 faculty members from all departments.

Facilities:

The campus provides six hostels for boys & two hostels for girls, indoor game Facility, medical centre, internet, staff quarters, lecture theatre complex, administrative complex, shopping complex & bank, central library with over 20000 books & over 400 seating capacity, laboratories & workshops and a central computer centre over 200 computer systems.

Activities:

The campus organizes the annual cultural festival every year named “Pearl”. The campus conducts the NSS programmes and celebrates the woman day and various co-curricular activities and sports activities.

Placement:

The BITS Pilani campus has a successful Placement cell working towards the facilitating the job placement for the students.
