Graphic Era University, Dehradun
Graphic Era University (GEU) was formerly known as the Graphic Era Institute of Technology established in the year 1997 as a private and self-financing institution set up by the Graphic Era Educational Society. For the excellence in academic education, the GEIT granted as the status of Deemed to be University in the year 2008 under the UGC and approved by the Ministry of HRD. Now, the Graphic Era University is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified institution. The institution provides the engineering and management courses in various disciplines. Also offers doctoral courses in various disciplines.
Campus
The GEU campus is sprawled over 22 acres of land adjacent to Cantonment Area and Rajaji National Park in Clement Town in Dehradun, the district of Uttarakhand. The campus is well-accessible from the ISBT, Railway Station and Airport of Dehradun and around 4 km away from the ISBT Dehradun. The GEU campus has four schools as the School of Engineering and Technology, School of Computer Application, School of Management Studies and School of Applied Science.
Programmes
The GEU conducts 17 UG programmes (including 12 B.Tech courses and one B.Tech + MBA integrated course), 30 PG programmes (including 16 M.Tech courses) and 15 Doctoral programmes (including 8 PhD programmes in engineering field).Besides this, the institution offers Dual B.tech and MBA programs. The GEU campus boasts around 8000 students and has a team of more than 326 faculty members from all departments and school including 215 faculty members from the School of Engineering and Technology.
Facilities
The GEU campus provides the LCD projector equipped classrooms, central library with 200 seats, laboratories, workshops, wi-fi internet, computer centre, conference hall, sports facility, canteen, separated hostels for boys & girls, health care facility, transportation, banking & ATM facility and guest house.
Activities
The GEU campus organizes various national conferences, workshops and seminars. The university conducts scholarship programmes and research publication programmes. The students run the clubs and committees for various co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
Placement
The GEU campus has a separate department for Training & Placement. The department has developed a Corporate Resources Cell to make linkages with various industries for industrial exposure, summer training and final job placement for the students. The Cell provides the career counselling and organizes the personality development programme for the students. Top Recruiters include ICICI Bank, Cognizant, Aon Hewitt, IBM, Wipro, Genpact, etc.
