CMC Vellore 2025 Syllabus 

The Syllabus of CMC Vellore 2025 for Group A and Group B programmes will be checked through online mode. The Syllabus will contain topics from 10+2 level Boards recognized by the TN Dr MGR Medical University. 

For a special paper of a particular course, the questions will be related to that respective subject. For MBBS admission into CMC Vellore, NEET scores will be considered. So candidates will have to study through NEET syllabus to get admission in MBBS in the institution. 

Below we have provided the details of subjects from which the question paper will be made for various Programmes:

For MBBS admissions (Through NEET):

The question paper of NEET entrance test will consist of questions from Physics, Biology and Chemistry. Biology section will be divided into two parts – Botany and Zoology. There will be a total of 200 questions, out of which candidates will have to answer 180 questions.

For Group A Degree Courses (AHS and B.Sc Nursing):

The question paper of the entrance test for Group A admission (except for MBBS) will consist of questions from Physics, Biology and Chemistry. There will also be questions for the Aptitude Assessment test which will contain few questions on issues of current topical interest and General Ability.

For Group B Diploma Courses (Science):

The question paper of the entrance test for Group B (Science) admission will consist of questions from Biology, Physics, Chemistry and General Ability. Also there will be some questions regarding issues of current topical interest.

For Group B Courses (Non-Science):

The question paper of entrance test for Group B (Non-Science) admission will consist of questions of general nature related to Current Awareness, Basic Science, General Knowledge and General Ability.

For MBBS (Through NEET):

• Exam Date: NEET exam will be organised in first week of  May 2025.
• Exam Mode: The examination will be held through offline mode (paper based).
• Type of Question: Questions will be objective types. Each question will contain four optional answers; students will be required to mark the correct answer only.
• Number of Question: It will contain only one question paper which comprises 200 questions, out of which candidates will have to answer 180 questions.
• Subjects: The question papers will be composed of four sections i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.
• Exam Duration: The exam duration will be of three hours and twenty minutes.
• Marking: 4 marks will be provided for each correct answer. 1 mark will be subtracted as negative marking for each incorrect response.
• Question Paper Language: The language of the question will be English, Hindi, Tamil, Assamese, Oriya, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Urdu, and Telugu.

For UG Programmes:

• Exam Mode: The exam will be conducted through Online CBT mode.
• Type of questions: The paper will consist of multiple choice questions.
• Mode Language: The entrance test will be conducted in English.
• Marking: There will be no negative marking for wrong responses. +1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
• Subjects: The question paper will contain 60 questions each in Physics, Biology and Chemistry and 120 questions in General Ability.

For Diploma Programmes:

• Exam Mode: The entrance test will be conducted in Online CBT mode.
• Type of questions: The paper will contain a total of 90 MCQS.
• Mode Language: The mode of entrance test will be in English language.
• Subjects: Candidates will be asked questions from Physics, Biology, Chemistry, General Ability and few questions on current issues.
• Marking: There will be no negative marking for wrong answers and +1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
