Silver Oak College of Engineering and Technology, Ahmedabad
Silver Oak College of Engineering and Technology (SOCET) is a self-financed and private institution, was established in the year 2009. The SOCET is affiliated to the Gujarat Technological University and approved by the State Directorate of Technical Education, AICTE & Ministry of HRD and Government of Gujarat. The SOCET is an ISO 9001:2008 certified institution.
Campus:
The SOCET campus is sited on the S.G. Highway near Bhavik Publication & Gota Cross Road opposite Bhagwat Vidyapith in Ahmedabad, the district of Gujarat. The campus is 10 km away from the Ahmedabad International Airport and 9 km from the Ahmedabad Railway Station.
Programmes:
The SOCET is offering UG programme in five disciplines of engineering and technology. The programmes offered by the college are listed below:

- Mechanical Engineering
Students & Faculty:
The SOCET offers 996 seats as the annual intake of admission in all programmes. The campus has more than 77 faculty members from all departments. At present, there are 2816 regular students in five academic departments.
Facilities:
The SOCET has well-developed high-tech laboratories comprising of all major facilities. The campus is providing smart classrooms, canteen, auditorium, a library, drawing hall, workshops, computer centre, hostel facility, playground, and transport facility for staff and students.
Activities:
Certain students have been registered to participate in industrial workshop. The students organize Blood Donation Camp, talent hunt, cultural activities, literary skills and sketching programme. The colleges also organizes various social and cultural events round the year.
Placement:
A well settled placement cell has been established since the inception of the SOCET and providing the arrangement for training & placement of the students and inviting various industries for campus recruitment. The cell is headed by the placement officer followed by the placement executive from each department and student representative from each discipline subsequently.
