JEE Main 2025 Result

JEE Main 2025 Result will be released by NTA in the second week of February for session 1 and in last week of April for session 2 examination. Candidates will be able to check their JEE Main 2025 Result only through online mode.

The results will be declared in the form of percentile (NTA Scores). Candidate’s rank will be declared after the declaration of result for 1st/ 2nd session. After the declaration of both sessions results, the rank will be announced.

Candidate’s rank will be calculated by comparing both attempts. NTA does not provide the result through any offline method. The NTA Score of JEE Main comprises the actual marks obtained in Paper-I of all subjects. The results are provided in the form of percentile.

The score & rank obtained by the candidate will be used for counselling & eligibility for JEE Advanced examination. Rank comprises of All India Rank and All India Category Rank. The authority will not dispatch the rank card to any candidates. Candidates have to download it through the website.

JEE Main 2025 Cut Off will be released through online mode. The NTA will release the cut-off through the website.

JEE Main 2025 Counselling will begin in second week of June 2025. The counselling process will be organized through online mode. It is managed by JoSAA.

JEE Main 2025 Normalization Score

The Normalization process will be an established practice for comparing candidate scores across multi-session papers and is similar to those being adopted in other large educational selection tests conducted in India.

For normalization across sections, NTA is using the percentile equivalence. The percentile will be calculated as:

JEE Main 2025 Result Dates

JEE Main examination for 1st Session will be conducted from fourth week of January to first week of February 2025. For 2nd Session, will be conducted in first week of April 2025. The exam will be held through online mode only.

After the examination, JEE Main Result 2025 will be declared on the website a week after exam. For 1st session exam, it will be announced in second week of February 2025. It will be released on last week of April 2025 for session II.

Rank scored by the candidates is declared after the announcement of results of all sessions. A normalization process will be adopted to calculate percentile.

JEE Main 2025 Counselling will begin in second week of June 2025. Students can participate in the counselling process according to the JEE Main ranks. For counselling best of the two attempts of Session 1 & Session 2 are considered.

How to check JEE Main Result 2025

Here we have listed some simple steps to check the result:

  • Click on the website link (link will be provided above)
  • A new page is opened on the screen.
  • Enter the mandatory details such as Application Number, Date of Birth & Security Code.
  • After filling in the details, click on the “Login” button.
  • The result will be displayed on the screen.
  • Check the result and take a printout of it.

JEE Main Score Card Details

Following details will be printed on the JEE Main Result/ Score Card:

  • Name of the Candidate
  • Roll Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Father’s & Mother’s Name

  • Nationality
  • State Code of Eligibility
  • Marks Secured in each subject, i.e. Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics
  • Total marks obtained by the candidate

JEE Main Rank List 2025

JEE Main Rank is declared after the announcement of result. The ranks are prepared as per the percentile obtained in both attempts of JEE Main. AIR rank is considered for admission through CSAB or JoSAA & other admission authorities to NITs/ IIITs/ CFTIs/ SFIs/ Others.

If candidates appear for both exams, the highest percentile will be considered for ranking. Tie breaking rules will be applied in case candidates score equal percentile in the JEE Main exam. The tie breaking criteria will be mentioned below:

Tie breaking rules for preparing merit list will be listed below:

  • Higher percentile in Mathematics subject is considered for a better rank.
  • Higher percentile in Physics subject is given a better rank.
  • Higher percentile score in Chemistry subject is allotted a better rank.
  • Candidates older in age will be preferred.

Compilation & Display of Result for Multi Session Papers

The JEE Main examination is conducted in two attempts. Procedure for compilation & display of results is mentioned below:

Compilation of Result (1st Attempt):

The first attempt will be conducted in multi-sessions, NTA scores are calculated corresponding to the raw marks obtained by a candidate in each session. The calculated NTA scores for all the sessions will be merged for the announcement of results. The result comprises the four NTA scores for each of the three subjects (Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry) and the total for the first attempt.

Compilation of Result (2nd Attempt):

The second attempt will be also conducted in multi-sessions, NTA scores are calculated corresponding to the raw marks obtained by a candidate in each session. The NTA scores for all the sessions will be merged for declaration of results. The result will contain the four NTA scores for each of the three subjects (Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry) and the total for the second attempt.

Compilation of Result & Preparation of Merit List / Ranking:

The four NTA scores for each of the candidates for the first attempt and second attempt will be merged for compilation of results and preparation of overall Merit List / Ranking. Those appeared in both attempts; their best of the two NTA scores will be considered.

JEE Main Counselling 2025

On the basis of marks scored in the exam, students will be able to participate in the counselling process. Counselling is done as per the rank secured by candidates. JEE Main counselling will be organized by the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) & CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board).

Counselling process will be organized in different rounds. Counselling is conducted through online mode only. It comprises various steps like online registration, choice filling & locking, seat allotment, fee payment & seat acceptance, and reporting to the allotted institution.
