Government Engineering College, Rajkot
Government Engineering College (GEC), Rajkot has been established in the year 2004 as a fully government institution by the Gujarat State Government of India. The foundation stone of this institution was laid by former Education Minister of Gujarat, Shri Anandiben Patel. The institution is affiliated to the GTU and approved by the AICTE, MHRD and DTE, Gujarat State.
Campus:
The (GEC), Rajkot campus is situated in the outskirt of the city on Mavadi – Kankot Road, near Hanuman Mandir in Village Kankot in Rajkot, the district of Gujarat. The campus is 3 km away from the Kalawad Road, 12 km from the Rajkot Railway Station and 10 km from the KKV Chowk. The Rajkot Airport is the nearest one to this campus.
Students, Faculty & Staff:
For all programmes, the (GEC), Rajkot is offering the 540 seats for annual admission. The (GEC), Rajkot has a squad of more than 65 faculty members and 12 non-technical staff members from all departments.
Facilities:
The college is providing the well stocked library, equipped laboratories, workshops, spacious auditorium, separate hostel for boys & girls, LAN connected wi-fi internet facility, computing facility and gymnasium.
Activities:
The campus organizes various competitions, seminars, project work, presentations and workshops. The college participates in inter college sports and cultural festival and organizes extracurricular activities. There is TEQIP cell in the campus.

At present, the (GEC), Rajkot is conducting six undergraduate programmes in the field of engineering and technology. The engineering disciplines are as the following:

Placement:
The training & placement cell of the campus arranges the apprenticeship and summer training for the students. The Cell conducts the on/off campus interview for the job placement of the students. Wipro, Infosys, Syntel, L&T, Adani and Essar Steel are the top recruiters of the campus.
