National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Guwahati
National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Guwahati has been established under the aegis of Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Govt. of India. The institute declared as an institute of National Importance by Government of India through an Act of Parliament. It started functioning from the month of September, 2008. The institute is an autonomous approved by UGC.
Campus
National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Guwahati is the fifth institution owing the status of NIPER. It is one of the seven NIPER institutions in India. It is inaugurated by the Union Minister of the Ministry of Chemical and Fertilizers. NIPER, Guwahati is situated as a department of Pharmacology in the campus of Guwahati Medical College and Hospital.
Facilities
The laboratories of NIPER-Guwahati are equipped with different instruments. It provides the animal house facility for the students. The computer labs are available in the campus for research with hi-speed connectivity. The library is also available with wide collection of books. It also provides the accommodation and transport facility for the students and institution staff.

The institute offered the courses in Graduate and Post-graduate levels. The M.Pharma is of two year and that of PhD three year duration. The courses offered by the institution are listed below:
