Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow
Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) was established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh on 8th May 2000. Under the University Act, ‘Technical Education’ includes programmes of education, research and training in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Town Planning, Pharmacy, Applied Arts and such other programmes. The university is approved by the UPTU, Lucknow and affiliated to All India Council of Technical education (AICTE).
Campus
UPTU is currently located in I.E.T. Campus at Sitapur Road in the capital of U.P. at Lucknow. At present around 4, 00, 000 students are enrolled in its various programmes. There are numbers of colleges which are affiliated to this university. It has been sub-divide in 5 Zone with 150-160 colleges in each Zone. The total number of affiliated colleges is 238 at present with the university. The university provides the various facilities in the all campuses.
Facilities
A wide set of facilities provided by the A.P.J Abdul Kalam University. There are many services provided by the university. The colleges have their own transportation facilities. The whole campus is enabled with the Hi-speed internet connectivity. It has a big central library in which uncountable textbooks, journals, periodicals, thesis and many more matters are available for research students. The university provides the all well equipped facilities to all its affiliated colleges/institutions. The computer labs, laboratories, classrooms, workshops everything is well-maintained and furnished with latest technologies.
Programmes
The University conducts the State Level Entrance Examination of UPSEE for admission to various programmes in institutions affiliated to UPTU and some other universities of U.P. The course of the B.Pharma is of 4 years and that of M.Pharma is 2 years. In order to take admission in B.Pharma, the candidates have to pass the 12th class with 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The courses offered by the university are:

Placement
The mission and motto of the placement cell of the University is to enhance and facilitate the process of employment. It invites the most reputed companies to its colleges. A fully equipped and proficient placement centre is being housed in the campus for the convenience of the graduate students. It conducts the job fairs and industrial tours every year. The cell conducts the on-campus and off-campus placement interviews. This year placement activity involves students in interactive counseling sessions with members of the placement cell. It will ensure them for their bright future before they leave the university.
