CG PET 2025 Syllabus
The CG PET exam contains questions from Chemistry, Physics & Mathematics subjects. The syllabus is of 12th class level. The detailed CG PET 2025 Syllabus will be as mentioned here:
CG PET 2025 Physics Syllabus:
Measurement:
- Units and dimensions, Fundamental and derived units, Dimensional analysis, S.I. Units.
Force & Laws of Motion:
- Force and inertia, Newton”s law of motion, Conservation of momentum and energy Static and Kinetic friction, Uniform Circular motion.
Kinematics:
- Linear motion in one and two dimensions, Cases of uniform velocity and uniform acceleration, General relation among position and velocity, Uniform circulation motion.
CG PET 2025 Admit Card will be released in the first week of June 2025. Candidates will be able to get their admit card through online mode from the website. Candidates will have to enter their registration ID to download the admit card.
Rotational Motion & Moment of Inertia:
- Rigid body rotation, couple, torque, angular momentum conservation of its momentum, Moment of inertia, theorems of parallel and perpendicular axis, (Moment of inertia of uniform ring, disc thin rod and cylinder only).

Oscillation:
- Periodic motion, simple harmonic motion, Oscillations in spring, Laws of simple pendulum.
Waves:
- Transverse and longitudinal wave motion, Speed of sound, principle of superposition, progressive and stationary waves, beats, and Doppler effect.
Light:
- Wave nature of light, Interference, Young’s double slit experiment, velocity of light and Doppler’s effect in light, Reflection, refraction, total internal reflection, curved mirrors, Lenses, mirror and lens formulae, Dispersion in prism, absorption and emission spectra, Optical instruments. Current Electricity:

Heat & Thermodynamics:
- Heat, Temperature, Thermometers, Specific heat at constant volume and constant pressure, Mechanical equivalent of heat isothermal and adiabatic processes.

Statistics:
- Probability addition and multiplication laws, conditional probability, binomial distribution, Simple problems in correlation and regression.
Differential Equations:
- Formulation of a differential equation, order, and degree, Solutions of differential equations by separation of variable method. Homogeneous linear differential equation of first order.
Numerical Methods:
- Solution of equation by the method of bisection, false positions, and Newton-Raphson.
- Numerical integration by trapezoidal & Simpson Rule’s.
Information Technology:
- Basics of Computer & its operations, Functional Components, main parts of a computer, input devices, output devices, and secondary storage devices, system software, utility software, application software.
CG PET Exam Pattern
Check CG PET 2025 Exam Pattern details here. The question paper will contain a total of 150 objective type questions (50 Questions from each subject). Four optional answers will be given for each question and candidates are needed to choose the right answer only.
The exam duration will be three hours (180 minutes). For each correct answer, one mark will be awarded. Candidates note down there will be negative marks for wrong answers.
