Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus, Firozpur

Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus, Firozpur (SBS STC) is an engineering college located in Ferozepur district of Punjab. The college was established by the Government of Punjab in 1995 with the name Shaheed Bhagat Singh College of Engineering & Technology as a tribute to the great martyr Shaheed Bhagat Singh. The college was later upgraded to the status of technical campus and renamed as Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus, Ferozepur. The college is approved by AICTE and affiliated to PTU Jalandhar.

Campus:

The college is located at Moga Road in Ferozepur district of Punjab. The college has developed state of art infrastructure for its academic, administrative and students’ activities. The college is located in Ferozepur which is a border city of India and Pakistan, and having good connectivity to all major cities of the state and the country.

Programmes:

The college is offering six courses in the graduate engineering discipline with the total intake capacity of 480 seats. The college is also offering two full time M.tech courses with the intake capacity of 18 students per discipline and also various courses in a postgraduate engineering discipline. The college is also offering courses in polytechnic, architecture and applied sciences.

Facilities:

The major facilities provided by the college include well equipped labs and workshops, spacious and fully furnished classrooms, well stocked and fully featured library having good volumes og books, journals and magazines. The other facilities provided by the college include hostel facility, sports facility, transport facility, canteen and mess facility etc.

Placement:

The Training & Placement cell of the college assists the students in their training and placement related activities. The cell is having a tie-up with many national and international companies and providing various job opportunities to the students. The college has secured 85% placement for the session 2011-12.
